Frenzy take to the main room of the Old Firestation

Last Saturday saw Frenzy take to the main room of the Old Firestation with a top line-up of all female DJs. Opening up proceedings was Frenzy’s own DJ Wilma who, and kudos for having the balls to do this, was in full drag.

DJ Wilma kicks it off... in drag!

It was quite a horrific sight, and was even worse a view from behind the decks when you saw how short his skirt was. Putting that aside though, he carried off the first two hours of the night in style with his usual brand of hard house… and gave his Adam Ant tune another airing too!

Frenzy favourite Charlotte Birch returns for her second gig

Next up on the decks was Frenzy favourite Charlotte Birch, coming back for her second gig for us. I believe she opened up with a Prodigy remix and yet again showed why she’s held in such high-esteem as she cranked out some great tracks, and mixed up the old and new.

Anne Savage carries off from where Charlotte Birch left off

Following on from Charlotte for the next hour and a half was the legend that is Anne Savage. We’d not seen Anne for a couple of years, and it’s fair to say she’d lost none of her appeal as the Firestation was at peak time on the dance floor, with clubbers clambering to get down to the front. At this point we also had the honorary Frenzy dancers up on stage to give it that little more spice, so cheers for that guys.

Hard house classics from Frenzy and Cheeky Scott

Frenzy resident Cheeky Scott was next up and he never turns down an opportunity to dress up like a cheap slut, and he didn’t disappoint us on Saturday. Scott opened up with some hard house classics including Drop The Dime and 9 Bar on Kaktai, which were also half played for Frenzy DJ Big Al who couldn’t make it. The set was slightly tougher than usual, as we had latest Frantic resident Frisky to follow him, and she likes it hard!

Frisky's hard trance gets us in the Frantic mood

Hailing from Wales, Frisky is the new hard dance girl on the block. Her style is the European hard trance sound, and she exposed the Frenzy crowd to what this all about, and it worked a treat! She had very stylish trousers too, and a few of the other ladies backstage commented that they wanted to steal them. All in all, a cracking set.

Hard dance award winner Cally Gage ends the evening on a high

The final guest DJ of the night was recent Hard Dance awards winner, Miss Cally Gage. Cally played some great tunes, most of which were high tempo euphoric numbers which had the crowds’ hands in the air countless times. This was a fantastic way to end the evening, and ensured that everyone left with a smile on their faces.

Frenzy make a success with another hard dance party

Cheers to everyone who made it. It was good to see that the main room of the Firestation can work with the Frenzy vibe. This was the first time we'd done the main arena in the venue so big shouts out to everyone who came along and made it a success.
